The Truth Behind the Protocol
For eight years, HAI-GOS Founder Sam Yates was a caregiver.
His wife, Marie, was a marathon runner. She was the kind of person who made a room feel warmer the moment she walked into it, not because she tried to, but because that was simply her being. Fully, genuinely, irreversibly present.
When her health changed due to End Stage Renal Failure, the medical system became their world. Over eight years of home hemodialysis, appointments, protocols, and documentation, Sam learned something that no business education teaches.
He learned what it costs when accountability is diffuse. He learned what it means for a Human being to stand in the gap between a system and a person. He learned what care looks like when it is done with intention and what it looks like when it is done on autopilot.
